Watch this space for my upcoming children’s books!

I’m putting the final touches on two children’s stories, The Blue River Ran and Partridge in My Pear Tree, both inspired by my tuxedoed grand-kitty who flies across the country from Massachusetts to visit me in California. He loves to warm himself in a sunny window and watch the critters outside. When a bird or a lizard strolls by, his ears rotate, his body shivers with excitement, and he emits little squeaks. Read Partridge in My Pear Tree to see what happens.

The silly, tongue-twisting tale, The Blue River Ran, is sure to bring on the giggles and bring out the “ewww’s” in both kids and their parents.

Have you ever watched as a kitty shifts from passively sleeping in the sun to possessed? His eyes get large and flash bright green, he zig-zags full speed through the living room, rounds the corner to the bedroom with legs running like a cartoon character as he slides sideways on the polished floor.

Once, in one of these crazy moods, he sprung from the floor to a dining room chair, straight up onto the table, and landed with all fours in my bean and cheese burrito, only to spring right back to the floor, leaving frijole refrito pawprints across the carpet ! Hmmm, I think there’s another story here.
